Causes we Support
At Insight we love the opportunity to use our skills in quantitative and qualitative research methodology to help our clients address social need. We are supportive of any activity that is focussed on the betterment of society (as described in statements such as the Sustainable Development Goals). We are also supporters (financially or where we volunteer our time) to five organizations that are close to our heart - Reconciliation Australia, Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland, Newlife Care, the Parliament of the World’s Religions, and the Griffith University Gold Coast Student Guild. The Sustainable Development Goals and these organizations are described below.
Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals were formulated in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly as a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. These Goals are:
1) No poverty – end poverty in all its forms everywhere
2) Zero hunger (no hunger) – end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture
3) Good health and well-being – ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
4) Quality education – ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
5) Gender equality – achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
6) Clean water and sanitation – ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
7) Affordable and clean energy – ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
8) Decent work and economic growth – promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
9) Industry, innovation and infrastructure – build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation
10) Reduced inequality – reduce income inequality within and among countries
11) Sustainable cities and communities – make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable
12) Responsible consumption and production – ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
13) Climate action – take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts by regulating emissions and promoting developments in renewable energy
14) Life below water – conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development
15) Life on land – protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and half and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss
16) Peace, justice, and strong institutions – promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
17) Partnership for the goals – strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development

Reconciliation Australia
Insight is a proud supporter of Reconciliation Australia, where we are actively working on our Reconciliation Action Plan.
Reconciliation Australia is a non-government, not-for-profit foundation established in January 2001 to promote a continuing national focus for reconciliation between Indigenous (ie. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and non-Indigenous Australians.

Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland
Insight is a proud member of the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland. ECCQ is the peak body working with and representing the needs and goals of multicultural communities to promote a socially cohesive, equitable, respectful and multicultural Queensland. ECCQ represents over 400 individuals and associations, and provides high-quality aged care services, health and employment programs.

Newlife Care
Newlife Care offers support to those in the community facing challenges in their personal, family and social lives.
Since 1958 Newlife Care has been supporting the Gold Coast community by providing
emergency food aid,
a social engagement program for people with a disability, their families and carers,
assistance to those who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness,
a pampering service for ladies going through physical, emotional, mental or financial hardship, which involves an educational session to power women by providing training in practical life skills
a service that reaches out to police referred and other people coming out of difficult circumstances and referring them to internal services and external service providers of our Gold Coast service provider network.
Newlife Care is an initiative of Newlife Church.
Parliament of the World’s Religions
The Parliament of the World’s Religions was created to cultivate harmony among the world’s religious and spiritual communities and foster their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions in order to achieve a just, peaceful and sustainable world.

Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, has provided event and technical support to activities of the Griffith University Gold Coast Student Guild since 2023. The Guild runs programs in the areas of Wellbeing (physical and mental), Sport and Fitness (including nutrition and return from injury), Academic Support, Careers and Employability, University Life and Navigation (including childcare, money management, legal help, accommodation and transport), and Community and Culture (including diversity and inclusion).
